Intersectional Gender Equity Lead

Part-time, 12-Month Contract

The Intersectional Gender Equity Lead strengthens intersectional gender equity policy and practice in workplaces in the Southern Metropolitan Region. With a focus on supporting organisations who report to the Gender Equality Act, the Lead is positioned as the principal guardian of knowledge and expertise within WHISE on organisational and workforce development.

This role operates with limited direction from leadership and is accountable to manage a range of projects and work to support WHISE achieve its goals through building the capacity and capability of its members, stakeholders and partners.

This role reports to the Manager of Gender Equity and Capacity and works collaboratively with other employees.

The Intersectional Equity Lead will:

  • develop and maintain strong partnerships and networks
  • design and deliver evidence-based training and capacity building programs
  • attract further funding through ‘fee for service’ proposals
  • implement strong monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks aligned with Women’s Health Indicator Framework
  • grant acquisition and management where applicable.
