Events: 16 Days of Activism 2025

Explore events, workshops and community initiatives working to end gender-based violence.

16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that calls for collective action to prevent violence and promote gender equality. Each year, organisations, councils, community leaders and local groups across the Southern Metropolitan Region come together to raise awareness, support prevention initiatives, and create safer, more respectful communities for everyone.

WHISE is proud to work alongside our partners across the region to champion a shared vision: a community where women and girls live free from violence, feel safe, and have equal opportunities to thrive.

This year, there are many diverse activities happening throughout the region. From community workshops and art exhibitions to webinars, family events, cultural activities and awareness-raising campaigns, these initiatives reflect the strength and commitment of our local communities.
