WHISE continues its commitment to evidence based practice and our focus to improve health and wellbeing of women in the Southern Melbourne Region.


This edition of WHISE’s Environmental Scan of women’s health and wellbeing in our region is in two parts:

1.    An exploration of the evidence and data underpinning the social determinants of health of women in the Southern Region.

The Scan also highlights key emerging themes that are and will impact on the health and wellbeing of women in our region including:

2.    A stock take on the law and regulatory context and its impact of women’s health.

Inspired by similar work undertaken by our friends at Women’s Health West, this supplement provides an overview of the legal and regulatory changes that have taken place over the last 12 months, that WHISE see as impacting upon women, their health and wellbeing.
