Let's Talk Respect is a campaign that encourages conversations about respect and equality with children.

Teaching children about respect and gender equality is crucial for their personal and social development. It equips them with essential life skills, fosters positive relationships, and contributes to a more compassionate and harmonious society.

Tips & Conversations Starters

Conversations about serious topics can be daunting and difficult for parents and caregivers to approach. Here are some example questions you can ask your child to encourage them to start thinking about respect:

What are ways people can be nice and fair to each other?

  • How do you feel when people are being kind and fair?
  • How do you feel when someone is being mean, unfair or cheating?
  • Do you have more fun when you are being treated nicely?
  • Do you think someone else would have more fun when you are being nice to them?
  • Have you ever seen someone treating another person unfairly?
  • What should be done when someone is treating another person unfairly?
